Secret Santa is the tradition of swapping gifts anonymously amongst groups of friends or workmates.

This Christmas gift retailer Firebox is attempting to set a record for the world’s biggest Secret Santa event.

For Global Secret Santa, customers choose something from a selection of Firebox stuff, add a message, and it’s sent to another participant somewhere in the world. In return they’ll get a gift back. A sticker is put on the outside of the Secret Santa gift package, so you can wait until Christmas to open it.

Another cool feature is that customers won’t be matched with someone with the same postcode - so if your whole office did decide to take part, you could get a gift from someone in Alaska not just Accounts.
